Inside Foley's 2025 Senior Counsel Meeting: Building Paths to Partnership
In April, Foley welcomed 90 senior counsel from 18 offices to Chicago for a dynamic three-day program focused on building a strong foundation for their path to partnership and reaffirming the firm’s commitment to their career success. The 2025 Senior Counsel Meeting was designed to support career development, foster cross-office connections, and provide practical tools for business development, leadership, and strategic planning.
The program featured fresh content, including insights from firm leadership, career development panels, business planning workshops, coaching sessions, and department-specific breakouts. Attendees also heard from two keynote speakers who offered actionable steps to help strengthen professional relationships and better communications. Participants also enjoyed multiple opportunities to connect with peers and firm leaders through group dinners and informal networking.

We asked attendees to share their key takeaways from the meeting — here’s what they had to say!
“Excellent panels with good insights into how to realistically approach building a partner-level practice.”
“Helpful to discuss communication strategies, identifying strengths and weaknesses not only of myself but of my entire team.”
“Sessions provided practical advice for skills I need to develop as a senior counsel.”
“Incredible opportunity to connect with colleagues and firm leaders.”
“Provided tremendous value to attendees.”
These reflections underscore the program’s impact and its continued importance in supporting the growth and success of Foley’s senior counsel.
